I just saw this on today's _Chronicle of Higher Education_ daily news
bulletin service:

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

* THE FACULTY UNION at Ontario's York University has won a
promise in its contract that professors will not be required
to use new technology in their classrooms.

Anybody have any background on that? Is this part of the deal struck at
the end of the strike, or is this new? Is this mlc's revenge?
