The special theme for the forthcoming Conference is 'The Reformation in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales in Continental perspective'. The two keynote speakers for 1998 will be Dr Eamon Duffy (Magdalene College, Cambridge) and Dr Sachiko Kusukawa (Trinity College, Cambridge). There will also be a visit to the Wren Library, Trinity College Cambridge, to see an exhibition of Reformation treasures. Additionally, it is hoped that the choir of Gonville and Caius College Cambridge will give a performance of sacred music during the Conference on our theme for this year. As well as its special theme each year, the Society encourages all attenders to offer papers in their chosen area of interest. Research students are particularly invited to share the results of their work with members. The Society is keen to promote Reformation and Renaissance scholarship in all its aspects - theology, spirituality and related disciplines. The Society is also intending to sponsor a journal called 'Reformation and Renaissance Review', to be published in 1998 by Sheffield Academic Press. The Society is planning to mount a website to advertise its work and to act as a focus for all Society members working in the field of Reformation and Renaissance Studies. Details will be made available as soon as the site has been launched. The cost of full board at Westminster College for Society members will be 30 POUNDS STERLING per person per day. Non-members will pay an additional fee of 30 POUNDS STERLING on top of all Conference costs. Personal membership of the Society is 5 pounds sterling per annum.
