Week-two, on whole Mirapex tablet 3 times per day was just >AWFUL!!! Dear Barb, Perhaps your 2 to 3 chips a day off your 2 to 3 Sinemet 25/250 tablets is the REAL culprit. You may have LOWERED your dopamine level just enough to be below a critical threshhold amount your body requires to function well. The symptoms you describe sound like those of underdosing.Adding Mirapex should cause either improved function ,or in combination with Sinemet, overdosing, with concomitant unwanted side-effects like dyskinesia. So, before giving Mirapex a bad name, you might want to consider whether your usual, WHOLE Sinemet 25/250 's ought to have been retained. When you go out in the evening, you normally add the additional Sinemet. This also suggests that you NEED every milligram you ingest, to function optimally. So, dear cyber-sister, I hope these observations may help your new neurologist and you to evaluate your progress. I am still trying to regulate my Sinemet-Mirapex balance. It seems that in me, if I am slightly more "off" I need to restore Sinemet to that critical therapeutic threshhold, and then, I benefit from the Mirapex. Ivan >
