There should be no problem in taking the generic drug especially when
she is starting with it early in treatment.  Most generics are identical
and are often made on the same production line as the "brand name"
drugs.  Occasionally there will be a question about bioavailability with
a particular drug but even that is controlled for if she sticks to the
same generic.

Also Sinemet is a combination of Carbidopa and levodopa.  The carbidopa
(given to prevent metabolism of the levodopa before it gets to the
brain) is the first number and levodopa dose the second.
