Yen.
Bromocriptine is an agonist. What that means is that it functions like
dopamine on the receptor. Therefore it and/or other agonists can either
substitute for or combine with sinemet (carbidopa-levodopa) to produce
the effect of the reduced amount of dopamine in PD.

Selegiline, also known as Eldepryl, blocks the breakdown of dopamine in
the synapse therefore increasing the amount and duration of action of
the dopamine in the synapse. It also is thought to slow the progression
of the disease.

I hope this is helpful, Check website

for a better explanation of most of the PD drugs

Also Yen, where do you live? And welcome to the list,

Charlie
