Emily asked about the connection between bladder infections and confusion in the elderly. We've gotten mixed messages on that one-- when Peter had his paranoid episode on mirapex, the doc in the ER found hge had a bladder infection, and said "that can cause paranoia" all by itself....HOWEVER when we sAW a urologist some weeks later, he laughed, saying he had seen lots of bladder infections but not with paranoia.....then when we asked our internist, he allowed as how it could occur IF there were also a fever. So, take your choice! (This happens a lot, doesn't it?)
