The House/Senate Conferees met on Tuesday (10/7). Both the Senate and the House will be in recess for the week of October 13th-17th. They are scheduled to be back in session on Monday the 20th, although there will be no votes and no conference meeting as well. Consequently, the first possible day that the Conferees could reconvene would be Tuesday (10/21). The current Continuing Resolution (CR) for funding of federal agencies whose appropriations' bills have not been passed expires on the October 23rd. If the Labor/HHS Appropriations bill, which contains the Udall bill in the Senate version, is not acted upon by 10/23, there will surely be another CR until sometime in November. Bill and I will continue to post updates on this list. If you have more specific questions feel free to reply via email or call the NPF Washington Office toll free at 1-888-331-4NPF.
