My husbands grand mother (92 ! - no Parkinsons or anything !) - was in the hospital
last spring for a bladder infection - she was dehydrated and had a fever.
The first night there she was practically delerious ... thought she was
home - then thought she was at the hospital dedication party (10 years ago) etc.
She kep trying to walk away (pulling th IV along/out)

We were really upset - because we've avoided the nursing home this long -
and she really does manage quite well by herself - dressing eating etc.
(although my brother-in-law and his wife live with her).

The doctors weren't upset - they said this happens quite often and that she;ll
be fine ... and in a few days she was. She hasn't had any more episodes like that
although - dehydration is a real problem that has to be watched ...
as someone mentioned its a chore to go to the bathroom (especially overnight)
- so I think she drinks less fluids just to avoid it and thats not good.

So hang in there and see what happens.
