George, we think a lot alike (no offense, I mean it as a complement!) I have an idea that might make your like a little easier! Have the buttons replaced with Velcro, then you just give a tug and the pants will open and a push and they are back together! If it works on a briefcase, it should work on pants too. Better try it first on an old pair, incase I am wrong. Ken B
