In doing some cleaning and sorting I came across this poem.
I don't know who the author is.

   THE MASTERS REPLY

I wept alone one evening,
while kneeling by my bed.
My life was disappointing,
and problems filled my head.

My prayer went up to Jesus,
I asked the question, "Why?"
He listened so intently,
and this was His reply.

"My child you are discouraged.
That is not the way to be.
Your sins have been forgiven,
and I have set you free.

No more does death enslave you,
or darkness fill your soul.
And satan cannot rule you,
you're under my control.

I know that you have suffered,
so many different things.
But soon you will discover,
the joy that testing brings.

You see it isn't always
a hurt or fear or pain.
For when the trials over,
I'll make you strong again.

The weakness you encounter,
will bring a better life,
And soon I am returning,
to ever end your strife.

So go on with your living,
and trust Me day by day.
The promises I've made you,
will never pass away.
