I had asked previously if those of you who have had PD for a long period of time suffered from severe muscle spasms. It seems to me that doctors don't know a great deal about the long term effects that our disease has on early onset patients.I was diagnosed at 37 and am now at almost 20 yrs with PD. I think gait problems cause me severe muscle spasms and when I ask this question I usually get the answer "well, we certainly can't rule that out". I guess I am just very frustrated at this point because I am having back surgery soon and I just wonder how these problems may effect my recovery.
