Dear Art,
The bit of "dietitian humor" referred to an actual diet that is
currently making the rounds. It's based on exactly that principle --
ingestion of cold substances will require extra calories to bring the
substance to room temperature.

One or two of us have our doubts regarding its effectiveness.
