Hello List Members,

My wife Christine was recently (2 days) diagnosed as PD. She is 43; we =
have two children 2 & 5 yrs. Chris had a MRI to rule out tumors and the =
neurologist said 99% sure PD. We are devastated and awaiting a second =
opinion appt with another neuro.

A brief history of Chris's symptoms:

Our second child Grace was C section birth as was our first. She was =
given a spinal block. Chris's bladder was accidentally cut during =
procedure causing complications (infection).

Directly following Graces' birth Chris noticed tremors and cramping in =
her legs.
She mentioned this to her physician; he said try bananas for potassium =
which she did with some success. Recently Chris has difficulty with =
tremors in left (non-dom) arm when extended. She was referred to neuro =
by her PCP and after exam/MRI we were given the news that I guess all =
who are reading this have heard.

Chris is sched for a spinal MRI next week; I guess the 1% chance of PD =
negative hinges on something there. We are praying maybe the spinal =
block procedure caused some spinal effect as the tremors started =
directly following the birth.

We live in the boonies, closest large med community is Albany NY.

Is there data on early PD? Neurologist was vague on progression etc.

I will appreciate any caregiving advice/direction; I think I saw that =
there is a file on the list with info.

Chris will most likely be joining the list.. I gotta set up inet on our =
home PC.

Thanks for listening,
