Next week, I am due to start a course of tablets of a new drug called
REMACEMIDE. This is one of those early tests where they are trying to
determine the maximum safe dose, the minimun effective dose, and to get
a feel for the possibility of unwanted side-effects. The drug, (if it works)
seems to be a complete break from the Dopamine agonist type of drug: I think
the best description (from the little that I have gleaned,) is that Remecemide
operates on the globus pallidus, and may produce a 'Chemical Pallidotomy'
effect on the patient (Returning to normal when you stop taking the tablets.)

The reason for me writing is that I was told that these trials are part
of a joint study which is being carried out in the UK And the USA. Is
anyone out there taking part in the same trials? If so, I would like to hear
from you.

Regards,
