PD Listservers may be interested in knowing that the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF), acting through the Parkinson's Unity Walk (fresh off its triumphal fundraising event in New York September 27) is fielding a delegation in the New York City Marathon next Sunday, November 2. Core members of this deranged gang are Drs. Danna Jennings and Blair Ford of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, trailed by Robin Elliott (executive director of the PDF) and his daughter Janna. We're accepting sponsorships at $1, $2, $5 (or more!) per mile. (Multiply by 26; we'll throw in the 0.2 mile balance for free!) Checks can be made out to the Parkinson's Unity Walk and sent to Margot Zobel at 30 West 90th Street, New York, New York 10024. You are welcome to specify a particular organization (American Parkinson's Disease Association; National Parkinson Foundation; the Parkinson Action Network; the Parkinson Institute; the United Parkinson Foundation; or the PDF) if you wish.
