Glory and I gave the following a try and it seems to be working well. Cut a sheet of clear vinyl sheeting (.015 thick) to fit a little over the edge of the seat. Attached four pieces of velcro (1.5" X 2") to four corner locations. Applied four pieces of matching felt to seat. Works pretty good. Glory sits down with back to car and then she can be pivoted around with little effort. We transport another Parkie 72/37 at times and he had great difficulty getting into our luxurious and spacious Ford Escort. With the plastic on the seat he made the manuever with only turning his back to the car giving him difficulty. Both Arden and Gloria felt the plastic allowed much easier entrance and exit of the car. The plastic sheet was clear vinyl, .015 to .016 thick, 56 inches wide and costs about $1.50 per running foot. Two feet would provide enough for two seats. I purchased it at Orchard Hardware. It should be available at any complete hardware but probably not a builders supply hardware. The velcro is available from almost any yardgoods store for about $3.00. One question I can't answer is the effect of extreme cold. I have used it for storm windows on mountain cabins but never sat on them when cold (or for that matter any other time). They did survive many winters. Like the song "I'm slip-sliding away." John cg Gloria 74/17
