NPF SUPPORT GROUP SURVEY Improving the quality of life for Parkinson s patients and caregivers is one of the National Parkinson Foundation s chief missions. Thus, NPF encourages the establishment of Parkinson s Support Groups. We strongly believe that Parkinson s patients and caregivers who participate in Support Groups develop better disease coping strategies than those who choose not to participate. Currently, NPF has over 800 affiliated support groups for whom we supply educational literature and support. In order to validate our belief that support groups indeed benefit people with Parkinson's and their caregivers, we have developed a survey regarding the effectiveness of Parkinson s Support Groups. We ask that you help us in this effort by visiting our site on the world wide web and answering our survey online. Our webpage address is: www.parkinson.org The results from the survey will be used to aid in the development of new NPF programs and educational material. In addition, NPF will report the results to the national media, thereby helping to create the much needed awareness of Parkinson s disease. We appreciate your participation in this worthwhile endeavor. Together, We ll Blaze Toward A Cure! Thank you. Melinda Brown NPF, Public Relations
