Cholecystokinin is a hormone that is secreted in the small intestine. Its
function is to initiate contractions of the gall bladder, and start the flow
of bile into the intestine via the common bile duct when fat is present.
Bile is necessary for normal, comfortable digestion of fats.

Is your tomato soup made with milk and thickened with a roux containing
butter or other fat? Perhaps that is the source of your problem with a
favorite food.
