Hello Karl, It is difficult to suggest which of your wife's drugs may be to
blame for the swelling. What I would say however is that both Parlodel and
Symetrel are what you might call 'Old Tech'. The more modern Dopamine
agonists all behave in a similar way, butare much less likely to provoke
secondary effects, like your wife's swollen ankles. There is not a direct
modern equivalent for Symetrel, It is just not used that much any more.
My advice is to suggest a newer Dopamine agonist: Permax, Re-Quip,
or Cabergoline.
