Hi, Jeremy,

You are not the only one who expressed surprise at the large array of
meds I'm consuming. I assumed everyone had to take all of that.

I had an appointment with Dr. Iacono yesterday. He is a very well
respected PD specialist here in southern California. He works out of
the Loma Linda University Medical Center which is well renowned for
their innovative medical procedures.

He reviewed the medicines I am taking and was in total agreement with
all of them. In fact he had me add one additional paxil a day! He says
that my type of PD, Type B is more aggressive than other types and
progresses more rapidly. So, I'm assuming that the tactic is to fight
the disease very aggressively from the onset.

I have also wondered what I'll do if I build a tolerance to these
medications. But the truth is they are controlling my symptoms and
other than utter fatigue, I am functioning normally, so I am most
hesitant to alter my treatment. And it was reassuring to get agreement
from another doctor.

If you are interested, Dr. Iacono has a website. It is
www.pallidotomy.com He has some pretty informative material there.

Thanks again for taking the time to write. I appreciate it. Please
stay in touch.
