Date: Sat, 8 Nov 1997 08:21:41 -0500 From: [log in to unmask] Subject: Udall Passes House from Mike Claeys PAN- At about 6:30 pm Friday, the House of Representatives, by a vote of 352-65, passed H.R. 2264, the FY98 Labor, Health & Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations conference report--including the Udall bill! The Senate is expected to vote on the conference report Saturday, November 8th, and the passage is almost assured. >From there, the conference report goes to President Clinton for his signature. There is every indication he will sign it. All the hard work has paid off! The real credit for this victory goes to the many grassroots activists who have made Parkinson's disease and our campaign for a cure visible to Congress and the American public. this is a great day--but only the begining of many more victories as the search for a cure continues!
