MEYER, M.D. I have to say that I find the hysterical condemnation of those who might have an interest in alternative "medicines" or therapies, and the deliberately-selected emotional terms in such condemnatory messages, most unattractive. So the guy is in that business for a living! Big deal! Which of us does NOT have an axe to grind and use all possible avenues to foster our interests. It'll probably be wildly unpopular to say so, but I bet there have been some, how do I put it ?, self-seeking (?) approaches to the promotion of the Udall bill! Not all cowboys were good, not all injuns were bad! How are we ever to come up with new (and possibly useful) approaches to solving our stupid disease if we jump on everyone whose ideas are different to ours as being a snake-oil salesman. Speaking personally, I prefer to have my own cynicism to protect me, rather than censorship! And just suppose, if you are open-minded enough, that you found a "snake oil" which DID cure PD! You would have to throw it out, 'cos you know the vast majority of people wouldn't listen! Please, Janet, Charles and any other righteously indignant people, let ME decide whether to read, believe (yes, and try) Mark Hughes' ideas, or even yours! I'm a big boy, and I don't like to have others make up my mind for me. And if I make a fool of myself, well, so be it! -- Jeremy Browne - [log in to unmask] Hampshire, UK
