Dear "Cyberfamily,"

Being a younger, active PWP, I need to have strong blood pressure,
but things have changed lately.

My blood pressure is usually about 116/80. Lately, since trying
Mirapex, it has been MUCH lower at times, even as low as 70/30. Often it
is only 106/60. Just one 0.125 mg Mirapex tablet can make me feel
sleepy. This is NOT good.

There are new problems that are strange and uncomfortable. They can
include drowsiness, cold hands, reduced mental clarity and reduced
libido.
.
But I don't know how blood pressure varies among Parkinson's
sufferers, nor to what extent the lower end of the spectrum of B.P.'s is
caused by the disease itself.

My partner is willing to buy a digital blood pressure cuff and
monitor and record my pressure variations. My doctor suggested the
A.N.D. battery-operated, digital unit ($99 at a local store).

Would Listmembers PLEASE respond to these FOUR questions? I think
the data will help many of us. My own answers are included as examples
of possible responses.

     1. What is your gender (Female or male), current age in years, time
since PD onset in years?

           Male/47/10

     2. What is your typical blood pressure?

           116/80

. 3. Do any medications seem to lower your B.P.?

          Mirapex

     4. How low has it gotten?

           70/30

I suspect Mirapex, and I am so uncomfortable that I am considering
stopping using it, except possibly at night. But even then, I am trying
to evaluate its effects on my sex and sleep life.
