I just got off the phone with my mother Joyce (68/9 months) who, in an effort to start Eldepryl soon, has reduced her Permax by half (so far) (i.e., 1/2 dosages 4x/day) and given up 10 mg Paxil/day altogether. She is still on 4.5 25/100 Sinemet. Both she and my father told me that this has been her worst day yet. She had to stay put the entire day due to increased internal shaking, mostly in her mid-section/stomach area. The only thing she can imagine is that she somehow forgot her afternoon dosage of Permax. She took her evening dose a few minutes ago and is waiting to see whether that will improve things. She mentioned that when she wakes up in the morning, she usually feels pretty good. She takes her meds and then about 1/2 hour after that starts to experience the intermal shaking. Eventually, it gets to a point where she can do what she has to do. I know I have asked about this symptom (side effect??) before, but it seems to me that this may be a side effect of her drugs. Has anyone experienced this as a side effect? This is not a symptom she had when she was first diagnosed. Again, thanks in advance. Debbie White [log in to unmask]
