Jim, My mother Joyce (68/9 months) is in the process of getting off Permax and is on a rollercoaster: some days are better than others. The symptom (is it a symptom?) that's causing the most problems is the internal shaking. My mother is normally a pretty active person (works 4 hours/day, then usually runs errands until dinner, and then often attends some meeting or lecture, etc. at night -- her weekends wear me out!). But during this period of getting off Permax things are sometimes so bad and unpredictable that she often cannot go to work. She and my father canceled their trip (from Long Island, NY) to my house (in Mass.) for Thanksgiving because of her current condition (I will never forgive this disease for keeping them away from my table on this holiday of sharing). She always suspected Permax of giving her side effects that I'm not sure aren't symptoms of the disease. Good luck and stay well. Debbie White [log in to unmask]
