Here's one reason our condition doesn't get enough visibility- no one ever dies from Parkinson's. It's very rare to see an obituary with a mention of Parkinson's. I figure a fair number of "died after a long illness" are PWP. This isn't a happy thought, but if more obituaries read "died after a long battle with parkinson's" there might be more general interest in a cure.
