Nancy and all,

I am sorry to be so vague in this response, but it did take 5 1/2 weeks before
we noticed any significant positive effects. From the beginning he became very
agitated, irritable and had hallucinations. However, he was on an extremely
high dose of sinemet and baclofen because the severe infection that he had
caused him to freeze up in a catatonic state. So we have had to work down the
sinemet and work up the Requip. On Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving was
the first day to see a remarkable difference in him. He is now moving much more
rapidly (although he is shaking today, which in indicative of overdose). His
balance is improved and he is again feeding himself. He is less depressed and
tired. He did complain of a little ache this morning, but was relieved with 2
Nuprin.
He is able to move himself around in bed more and turn from side to side. He
still cannot walk yet, because we haven't got his knees stretched completely
straight yet. (Almost)

I will report more later in the week.
