Monday December 1 7:07 PM EST Country Legend Johnny Cash Released From Nashville Hospital NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Reuters) - Country music icon Johnny Cash was discharged Monday from Baptist Hospital, where he had been treated for more than a month for pneumonia and a nervous disorder. Cash's manager, Lou Robin, said Cash "now feels much better" and will return to his home for "continued rest, recuperation and regulation of his medical treatment." Robin said that Cash and his wife June "want to thank all of their friends and fans whose prayers and good wishes helped speed his recovery." Cash was diagnosed recently with Shy-Drager's syndrome, a neurological ailment related to Parkinson's disease. He contracted pneumonia after entering the hospital. Cash's illness forced the Grammy-winning country singer in October to cancel a national book-signing tour and to postpone a series of concerts. Reuters/Variety ^REUTERS@
