Good evening all Listees! Geoff Miller, my nephew, needs information some of you may be able to furnish. I've copied his request below. Professor Miller is quite a scholar. When he graduated first in his class at Columbia Universty Law School, where he was Editor of the Law Review, no less than three Supreme Court judges wanted him to clerk for them (he chose Whizzer White). After a short stay in the Justice Department as one of the team of advisers to the President, and a brief stint at a Washington law firm, Geoff made a career move to Chicago University Law School, where he taught for a number of years and served as assistant dean. Now back in New York, he teaches at NYU School of Law and conducts a series of international seminars in a program he established in his specialty -- banking . Please don't ask me why Geoff has gone from summit meetings combining ( in one recent instance) the presidents of six Latin American central banks and the heads of the IMF, the World Bank and the US Federal Reserve to the mundane world of parking-lot Parkinson politics! I suspect the answer is -- he hasn't. He's in the middle of a bitter divorce proceeding involving custody, etc., and the person this req uest is meant for may be a friend who is helping him through this difficult period, perhaps a woman....... I could fantasize 'til the cows come home -- but it's possible the request truly is his own! In any event, if we help him on this we can turn around and seek his assistance on legal matters far removed from Banking 101. His E-mailreads: Elliott, I am doing an academic study of handicapped parking rules. Any information you can give me about how the Parkinson's community organize, lobbies, or otherwise views these matters -- or who might know about this? Geoff If those lisstees who can give him a hand on this would copy me I wou ld appreciate it. Geoff's address: [log in to unmask] I forgot to mention that his scholarship extends to the old testament, which he has devoured cover- to- cover several times and on which he regularly submits well-footnoted articles to learned journals, his latest being an investigation of verbal feuds. Cheers, Elliott
