When my wife( 77/20+) was first diagnosed as PD and shortly after had to get her drivers license renewed, there was a question on the form about neurological conditions of some sort. She got a letter from the neuro saying she was capable of driving and that was it. She eventually gave up driving when her foot bounced on the accelerator and we bounced down the road. (reminded us of the old movies with cars bouncing away - anybody remember them ). When she applied for the handicapped parking permit nothing was said about taking her license. The permits here are obtained from the town clerk's office. We are in New York state.
