A question was posed here recently about handicapped parking regs. I was
going to look into it in NJ and possibly apply for a permit, but this
question just caused me to recall a number of postings here about two +/-
years ago about some danger in doing so. One or more posters relayed
expierences where they applied for one, or otherwise let a state division
of motor vehicles know they had PD. Their licenses were immediately taken
away until they took some kind of a road test, even though they felt there
was nothing at all wrong with their driving. Does any one have a
recollection of this, and what happened?
And does anyone have any comments in general about applying for a
permit, disclosing one has PD? Or would it be better perhaps to get the
neuro to couch the request in terms of the symptom - in my case painful
feet?
        Thanks.
