Yesterday I forgot to take my mid-day dose of meds. I didn't hit the wall
that I had been every 4 hours. Forgetting to take meds on time used to be a
"problem" for me but I haven't experienced that for three months. In fact
it was end dose wearing off that prompted me to try Requip. I'm taking 4 mg
Requip &50/200 Sinemet CR 3 times a day,.5mg Permax am and PM, .5 mg
eldryprel am and noon. Quite an improvement from 2 weeks ago when I was
2hrs on and 2hrs off. That was when I was at 2 mg Requip &50/200 Sinemet CR
3 times a day, .5 mg eldryprel am and noon, and had weaned off permax
gradually over 3 weeks while building up Requip. Getting off Permax was
terrible. Aren't drugs Wonderful when they work!!!!

Subject: 12/5/97 Day 14 Requip diary by DALE sEVERANCE

Day 14 requip 12/5/97

5 AM awoke & took 1.25 mg of requip, 25/100 sinemet and 5mg of elderpyrl
I woke up on which lasted till 7:15 AM and went suddenly off

8 AM took 1 sinemet still off

11 AM apt. with Dr. Perez He decided I was not getting enough REquip so we
decided to increase from 1.25 mg 3x a day to 2 mg 3x per day. And every two
days increase the dosage by .50 3x a day.

The doctor also noted an irregular heart beat and scheduled me for EKG and
echo cardiogram on Monday.

12: AM took 2 mg of requip and sinemet 25/100 and 5mg of elderptyl

3 PM 1 25/100 sinemet
6 PM 1 25/100 sinemet
9 PM 1 sinemet and 2.00 mg of requip

Days summary. My periods of on our increasing. I am taking sinemet 25/100
every three hours it takes a hour for the sinemet to kick in and turn Me
on.(
What a phrase.... it use to be inna tiney poka dot bikinis) I have then
had
1 to 1 ¼ hours of on and off for the last 45 minutes of the dose.

In retospect I felt super as I start the requip and then everything
collapsed. I feel that occurred because it took a few days for the Parlodel
to
work out of my system and for those few days I was getting a boost from
parlodel and requip. The requip did not come on line fast enough to replace
parlodel.

Beginning to feel better.
