Samantha and JackLyn...

Please note that the collagen procedure (and I have had it done at both UCLA
and at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles), while being a terrific boon for those
of us Parkies who have faint, whispery voices, does NOT help if the speech
problem is caused by muscles around the mouth or by tongue/throat problems.

IF your dad's speech problem originates in the vocal cords, he might easily
benefit from this 5 minute, non-painful, covered-by-Medicare procedure!

        There is a program at UCLA in Los Angeles that does collagen
voice injections.  Their number is 310.206.6688.  Hope the info is
helpful.  Samantha
