Edie, I can help a little more, too. Think about all the times you go to a
doctor and feel like he/she only spends a very short time with you, when you
look at the amount a visit costs. WELL, when you go to the dentist, the time
in the chair always SEEMS much longer than it is. Even if you get a one hour
session, which is unusual, The actual time the work is being done on your
mouth usually amounts to a few minutes. My dentist used to hand his patients a
walkman tape player/am/fm radio, and I used to calculate the time according to
the number of songs I heard, which average 3 or 4 minutes. I figured most of
the time, it only took 3 to 5 songs for the actual work to be done.  In fact
if you have a Walkman, or small radio with earphones
it helps to keep your mind off the procedure being done.  I hope that helps..I
