Zenia, ask your pharmacist for the drug insert on mirapex. That is the most recent literature you can read. It is an agonist so the ND will probably decrease and eventually stop any agonist you are on (such as permex, etc) as he gradually increases the mirapex. It intensifies the action of the sinemet so the sinemet will be decreased also. Side effects for my husband was some confusion and hallucinations which he always has with med changes. However the positive side is -- increase in mobility, stronger voice, sits and stands straighter. Good luck to you. Mary CG for MEl 76/11
