Well, I don't have it in writing yet, (Maybe I never will) but after 6 weeks of escalating doses of 'Remacemide', I have come to the definite conclusion that I have been among that elite group of 1 in every 4 who have been taking the placebo (Dummy tablets). My neurologist of course has no direct information either, since he is part of the 'double-blind' system. However, he has had has been able to observe the responses of the other patients from Nottingham who have taken the tablets, and is in no doubt that if I had been taking the 'real thing' I would have seen a positive reaction by now. In view of the above conclusions, and because I have been getting quite painful messages from my Arthritis because I had to suspend my intake of Naprosyn (An anti-inflammatory pain killer) for the duration of the test, I have decided to call a halt to my participation in the trial. I am assured that I have completed the course as far as is required from a placebo taker, so in due course 2 -years probably- we may have another option in our armoory Regards
