My dad is hospitalized due to psychotic episodes resulting from his PD meds. They've had him off of everything except Sinemet (25/100) 3x and Zyprexa (1x). He's doing well, but still prone to bouts of confusion...I thought we were over the hump after 3 straight good days, but today he was confused again. I'm told it could take awhile for his head to clear (he was a mess when they brought him in). I also wonder whether the confusion spikes when he hits an 'off' period...he seems to become fixated on something and becomes a bit anxious/agitated. He was doing fine until 2 or 3 days before he ended up in the hospital, so I'm hopeful it is indeed the meds. But, it has been 6 days since he's had any Permax, so I'm getting concerned this isn't a temporary condition. His docs are no help. Has anyone had a similar experience? I'd appreciate any words of encouragement or advice. Thanks. Mark Klapper
