POSITION IN PROFESSIONAL WRITING

University of Toronto at Mississauga invites applications for a
position at the rank of Tutor/Senior Tutor in the Professional Writing
Program, beginning July 1, 1998. Experienced teachers of writing and
communications who have a Ph.D. or comparable research degree are
sought. Applicants should be able to demonstrate: 1) excellent
teaching credentials in writing and communications; 2) engagement with
the scholarship of teaching in language and communications; 3) ability
to develop innovative writing and communications pedagogy in an
evolving interdisciplinary curriculum; 4) ability to work with
students and faculty in humanities, social science, science and
management programs; 5) experience with editing,publishing, and
computer applications in professional communications. The ideal
applicant will be able to address a range of prose applications:
artistic, journalistic, academic and administrative. Salary
commensurate with experience.

Candidates should send a Curriculum Vitae, a short summary of
teaching portfolio and a statement of teaching specialisations, and
