For those of you who read my post about my dad, I forgot to mention that he did end up with a better doctor in 1996. It was too late for everything else, but he was put on an MS medication to relax his muscles. It seemed to work. He was also on Ativan. At that stage, we didn't worry much about side effects since all he could do was cough & move his eyes. Toward the end, he was taking at least 30 pills a day dissolved in water & the Depakene.
