Mary, So sorry to hear of your Mom's death. My mother died on my birthday after being in a nursing home about 6 months. Before that I took care of her at our home. They called me about 10:00 PM and I stayed with her until she died around 3:00 AM. I don't think she knew I was there, but like you, I'm glad I was with her. Its hard, but when they get in that condition it is such a blessing when they are out of their misery. I always enjoy your post to the list. Will you be staying with the list for awhile? Nancy Burnham
