This posting makes me extremely angry . Goverments control the
actions their
people by pointing a gun to their heads . They should not be allowed
to control the actions of their peopleo by being allowed to deny them medecine
> I would recommend that you consult a competent medical doctor
> prior to taking any medication
Get real ! Iin my day, at school only those that were UNABLE to do
maths went off to college to study at lot of jargon latin names so
they could pretend they knew something . I could fill a book with the
catalogue of the shear ignorance I have personally met . The chief
reason for these goverment licensed lakey's ignorance is that they
have no incentive to discover the truth and a cure . Money and personal
prestige is their goal .

and that the quality of that
> medicine must be beyond doubt.
>
Get real again . Nothing is beyond doubt . Sure I have slightly more
confidence in a governmenmt licence medecine than in one that is not
government licenced .

> GENEVA - The U.N. health agency said Monday it would launch an
> investigation into sales of medicine over the Internet.

> The World Health Organization said it would act promptly to

IT is already here and thank God they are powerless to stop it .

> Such Internet medicine may be
"unevaluated,
well get evaluating it !

 unapproved
of course it is unapproved since governments are in charge of
approval . I get UK approved Madopar . If anyone in the USA, where I
belierve it is not approved , wants to
try some let me know and I will post some to them .

 unsafe
there is no 100% safety in anmything in life certainly not medecine .
What is important is to use it sensibly .
 or
> ineffective
Since every human being is unique it is impossible to predict with
any certainty whether a medecine will work in a particular case
. Even if these tab bought over the internet is just a lump of
chalk the placebo effect alone is more effective than nothing .

, or used inappropriately,"
doctors have little control over how medication is used . I reduced
my medication from 4 tabs to two recently because of dyskeneasia my
doctor does not know since I have not seen him for 9 months . I
recently saw a neuro for my 6 monthly check up . His response was
change to the CR form and use only 2 tabs a day ! He is not going to
see me for another 6 months so he will not be in anyway following
whether his prescription works . I have seen a different neuro each
time on the last 3 visits to hospital .

 said the resolution passed

At present I am conducting a personal assessmentas to whether the
"snake oil" NADH does me any good bought over the internet . I am also
trying electrical nerve stimulation with a machine bought over the
internet . Future studies include the" snake oil", human growth hormone
and magnetic nerve stimulation . I am still looking for a supplier of
human growth hormone . I see in the news today that the chiease
swimming team was found with the banned somatropin which sound like
human growth hormone . One minute the government wants us to believe
these substances are both ineffective and dangerous and the next
minute they want to cry"foul" when someone else uses them effectively
.
I remember a recently a government medical spokesman on the
government controled mass media saying that the reason AZT was not
available was there was no evidence that it was effective. ( gays and
junkies go away and die ) Even more recently I saw a report of how
AZT was helping mothers with AIDS have babies without AIDS because it
reduced the mothers viral load .( It is worth helping babies inspite
of the cost of AZT) .
The point of this posting is that the governments agenda is to "
manage " the disease with as little cost as possible . In my case in the
UK , here is your L-dopa go away . The government appointed and paid
neuros do not want to see me for at least 6 months and preferably
never .
My agenda is to get cured and I will try any" snake oi"l that I feel
might work and the internet is my only source of "snake oil " I am waiting for further imformation on Sonic Hedgehog
and GDNF . When this treatment becomes available my present
intention is to get it approved or unapproved .
I cannot get the snake oil " from my doctor although he admitted
after many discussions that I probably know more about PD than he
does , he defers to the opinion of the neuro . I gave up with them
after the last big argument that involved whether L-dopa had
beneficial effect foe hydrocephalus induced PD . I had information
from the internet that it did.
Last night I was watching TV and someone came on and predicted
that the job of being a doctor would soon disappear . A few weeks ago
in the New Scientist there was an article trying to defend the role
of the doctor in view of all the information available on the
internet
. The role of the doctor as the medical policeman is
redundant . There is too much information on the internet .
Curl up aand die ? NEVER . I shall continue postings on how I
get on with my various" snake oils" .
