Ron: How long have you used lipoic acid and have you noticed any adverse effects? Does it seem to help your PD symptoms? What other meds do you take? Of course there's no way to tell in the short-run if it's neuroprotective. The medical/scientific literature on lipoic (thioctic) acid looks promising but I could not find a single clinical trial of lipoic acid in PD patients. I'd welcome your reply and comments.
