Ralph: I have been taking lipoic acid (Twinlabs, 3x50 mg ) for about two years now ever since I discovered the Berkely web page. I'm not sure about symptomatic relief. But if I take more, it seems to make me feel worse. My healthy nephew takes it for the fun of it and claims that it has increased his appetite. LA is becoming tres chic in the civilian population. The only PD med I am taking is Eldepryl. Other supplements include KAL Multiple, CoQ10, Pycnogenol, Vit e and Vit C. I take some other drugs for restless legs (Neurontin and Klonopin). My philosophy has been: it its an anti-oxidant which crosses the BBB, try it. It may not be helping my PD, but you can rest assured I will never spontaneously combust :-) At 02:38 AM 1/11/98 -0500, you wrote: >Ron: How long have you used lipoic acid and have you noticed any adverse >effects?
