Nancy....

My comments have nothing to do with someone sharing knowledge or information
'or giving specks about a specific product or service that they believe might
benefit other List members. Heck... I've posted about a few things myself....

It's when subterfuge and lies are used as a means to gaining our trust in
order to hustle a multi-level marketing product that it feels to me we're
being imposed upon... used... cheated.

Imagine... IMAGINE what the List would be like if EACH of the multi-level
marketing hustlers who've logged onto the List had been permitted by the List
owner to STAY here and continually market their assorted products and services
whenever they wanted to.

It's not a pretty picture, and I suspect that soon there be fewer and fewer
people with Parkinson's calling this wee corner of Cyberspace "home" as the
number of hucksters increased.

Nope... NOT a pretty picture.

Nancy, perhaps Barb was a little rude, but we have learned that we must be
fiercely independent of pecuniary interests if we are to be of service to
our listmembers.

Ambrose Bierce wrote about the Moral Principal and the Material Interest
who met on a bridge wide enough for just one.

<<
"Down, you base thing!" thundered the Moral Principal, "and let me pass
over you!"

The Material Interest merely looked in the other's eyes without saying
anything.

"Ah," said the Moral Principal, hesitatingly, "let us draw lots to see
which one of us should retire till the other has crossed."

The Material Interest maintained an unbroken silence and an unwavering
stare.

"In order to avoid a conflict," the Moral Principal resumed, somewhat
uneasily, "I shall myself lie down and let you walk over me."

Then the Material Interest found his tongue. "I don't think you are very
good walking," he said. "I am a little particular about what I have
underfoot. Suppose you get off into the water."

It occurred that way.
>>

It won't occur that way here.

I'm with Barb. Tami may not have any Material Interest, but we don't know
and we've seen just too many people try to use this list for commercial
purposes. If Tami is just one of us, means only to help, and has no profit
motive except the eradication of Parkinson's from her life, we'll know
sooner or later. In the meantime, we're suspicious.
