Dear listserve members, Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I was behind on reading the posts to the list after I had made a post. I have since gotten the "gist" from these posts such as this one from Arthur Hirsch: >I'm with Barb. Tami may not have any Material Interest, but we don't know >and we've seen just too many people try to use this list for commercial >purposes. If Tami is just one of us, means only to help, and has no profit >motive except the eradication of Parkinson's from her life, we'll know >sooner or later. In the meantime, we're suspicious. >>Art >Arthur Hirsch [] [log in to unmask] [] Lewisville, TX Well, I'd like to say SHAME ON YOU BOTH. Both you and Barb. What the heck is the matter with you people. Never, never in my post did I say go to that web site and buy their product. I posted my message in response to Carol Phelps' who was looking for an inexpensive source for NADH. I gave the source I order from for my 40 year old husband, who has had Parkinson's for at least 3 years. YEAH, I MADE THAT UP! The tears I've shed and the despair I feel frequently regarding this crappy disease -- yep all made up. Oh yes, I just thought I would share a mailorder vitamin/supplement source with all of you, because if you can save money of a very promising supplement such as NADH, well then, I must be getting what -- a kickback from the company. Come on! Do you have stones in your head? Before you go flamming someone, and getting someone really, really upset (who doesn't need anymore stress/upset in her life), why don't you check out the source given first for yourself. Did you bother to call the company I listed as having a great deal on NADH -- buy one get the second bottle for a bottle -- yourself to check them out? Did you call and ask if they give kickbacks if you recommend them? Did you call to ask about this deal they call BOGO? Obviously you did not. So, I hope you both have your tails between your legs. I understand all about multi-level junk going on on the internet, etc. Fine, you eere on the side of caution. That should be until you check it out first hand yourself. Then, if you discover someone has a multi-level plan going on, then I suppose you could post your tremendous discovery on the listserve. However, you both just decided to shoot your bullets at me without making any effort to discover if this was a legitimate source or not. How could you do this to me? I need support, and thought I could find it here. Hmm, I'm certainly evaluating that assumption on my part! And regarding my post, I think you also did not fully read it before you put your blinders on. I gave the web address: www.nadh.com merely as a place for someone to go to get some general info on NADH, if they were not familiar with this supplement. I never suggested anyone buy the brand touted there. I gave the company JBN as the source to buy from, as they sell NADH much cheaper than that web site. So, after reading my post, how did you come to the conclusion that I made up my husband's illness, am a lier, and have material gain as my ultimate motivation? This absolutely was not how my post reads. I think you both better be sure to wear your glasses next time you read the posts! Maybe you better start taking NADH to fire up your neurons! I don't know how I can ever post anything here again, or continue to read this listserve if I have to look over my shoulder to see if someone is going to rip me apart for trying to share valid information with the rest of you. As I stated in my post, I'm a medical researcher, writer, and herbalist. The supplements I have my husband take have helped him greatly. He has not been sick in over a year. His symptoms are very managable at this point. He feels good. I just want to help other people to feel good again, or better than they do. We are a success story for the moment. I myself, lost 45 pounds last year, and have kept it off for a year and a half. Let's see, I take L- Tyrosine to help with food cravings ... oops, ... I must be trying to sell that supplement to make a few lousy bucks off unsuspecting poor souls ... yep, I have a material interest in ALL manufactures who produce L-Tyrosine -- beware! As for the question regarding the enteric coating to the tablets of NADH by Metabolic Response Modifiers -- yes, this keeps the product stable. That was my whole point. Sorry if this wasn't clear. The web site claims their brand is the only reliable brand to use. That is hogwash. They have a patent pending, so of course they make this claim. However, if the product is enteric coated, it is stablized. I mentioned the coating so anyone interested in ordering from JBN would know they are getting a comparable product. Well, I feel better now getting this off my chest. I hope "certain people" will evaluate their remarks and do their reseach before deliberately hurting someone and causing much duress. If I've upset either of you -- sorry -- but I really think you needed to be set straight so you don't do this to someone else. Why not remember the reason for this listserve in the first place ... to serve its readers by offering support and hope and the FREE EXCHANGE of helpful information. So gee Arthur and Barb, do you see me yet as "one of us?" Perhaps I see you both as a bit "shortsighted," in which case, I don't care to be "one of us." Walking tall through the listserve, Tami A.
