     Hi Jonathan
Audio display information is just the sort of information I am
after . I was just reading about treating epileptic fits with DBS of
the Thalamus . Epileptic fit is as far as I can see is a total spasm but
temporary while PD is a limited spasm but permanent . Matbe limited
is not the right word . Try a firing pattern not too dissimilar from
the normal neuron firing pattern . Epileptic fits can be produced by
audiovisual stimulation . It all fits with audio visual stimulation
affecting the neuron firing pattern . What baisc information I am
after is what frequencies have what effect . I tried the Megatronics
site but their information was a little too vague . I tried Loma
Linda and got a reply . But again not enough precise information .My
request for more information has to date gone unanswered . Dr. Iacono
is doing very inportant work and I dont want to take him away in any
way from that . It would be nice to see case reports of DBS .
DBS is ostensibly to control tremor but can it also improve
muscle control ? What affect does changing the frequency/ amplitude have ?
I think that stimulation of the brain neuron firing pattern by
whatever means can affect PD symptoms . So any information from
audio visual stimulation would be most welcome . The altering of the
brains firing pattern by increasing the dopamine levels or any other
chemical means has drawbacks sometimes it increases the spasm as in
dyskinesia or RLS A combination of various methods may be the best
way of stopping the brain neuron firing pattern going chaotic .
     peace
Alastair ( [log in to unmask] )
