Greetings everyone,
As I figure it, this e mail should be reaching people who have
extremely diverse interests from pediatric pain management to Marriage
and Family Therapy to Alzheimers (just as an example). My name is Dan
Leopold and I am a board certified music therapist. I have been working
in a nursing home outside of Philadelphia for the last 6 months. During
that time, and to this day, I am enjoying my work with the elderly,
stroke victims (including people with aphasias), multiple sclerosis
patients, and hospice patients. I have also had experience working with
autistic and developmentally delayed as well as normal child
development. To add another dimension to this picture, I am also a
hydrocephalic since 18 months of age and have had considerable
experience on both sides of a hospital bed. Finally, and this brings me
my reason for being on the list. In addition to my vocation, I have a
personal fascination with information sharing via the web, hence I set
up a website dedicated to CREATIVE ARTS THERAPIES. On this website one
can access the CreativeTherapies chat (schedule listed below) and
CATScan (The creative arts therapies cyberjournal), as well as a
comprehensive list of links for the different modalities of creative
arts therapies (art therapy, music therapy, dance/movement therapy,
poetry therapy and bibliotherapy, drama therapy, and psychodrama).
Below is a schedule for the CreativeTherapies chat for the month of
Februrary. If you have already received this schedule there is no other
new information in this letter and I look forward to your responses.
