Hi Carole;
I've also seen that reference somewhere and after reading Ronald
Vetters post decided to look a little on the web. (Ron your posting
is interesting but I don't make the connection between cannibalism in
New Guinea and personnel stationed in Guam)

Carole, I found several references:
This first one contains the name and address of a person who was
collecting data on PD & Guam in 1993 - see text below

http://http1.brunel.ac.uk:8080/~hssrsdn/alsig/archive/alsd013.txt

This next one contains a catalog of medical papers and you might
access some of this material at a good medical library

http://http1.brunel.ac.uk:8080/~hssrsdn/papers/mnd92.txt

This site has references to other afflictions and Guam

http://www.medaccess.com/physical/neuro/psp.htm

This last site also refers to a special type of PD and Guam

http://www.cnsonline.org/www/archive/parkins/park-01.txt

The 1st.(1993) site offers a contact person:

Susan F. Schweitzer
Neurological Clinical Nurse Specialist & Co-ordinator
APDA Information and Referal Center
1000 Locus Street
Reno, Nevada
89520
(702) 328-1766

I hope some of this might help you out.

Regards.............Murray

This list makes me smile too!
