Bill, you bring up a good point, that the cost of medical procedure have a very wide range from one facility to another, even in the same geographical area. I am guessing that is why insurance companies get a discount in most facilities. I have heard that they often pay less than half of the billed amount. Would it not be better, if they could reduce the amount for everybody, and have the insurance companies pay the same amount as everyone else? Ken B
