Greg, Diane, and "All"...

Do keep in mind that Alan Bonander passed away over a year ago (and is SO
missed by those of us who knew this wonderful man!), and in the interim MANY
more medical facilities 'round the country are now offering pallidotomy as an
alternative PD treatment.

Dr, Iacono, for instance, is now performing the surgery (and other types of PD
and neurological surgeries), plus holding his movement disorder clinic at
Encino Hospital - right in my own back yard - as well as at Loma Linda (and I
had to go all the way out to Loma Linda for the surgery in '94! WHAT a haul
THAT was!)

I wonder any of the big national PD associations might have an up-to-date list
of surgeons/hospitals that offer pallidotomies/other PD-related surgeries?

Diane,
There is a list of hospitals and surgeons from the Parkinson's Web. I will
copy it to this posting. There is a lot of info out there so be careful and
do your homework.
